Frequently asked questions

What is a Health and Nutrition coach?

A Health and Nutrition Coach is someone who works with you in a personalised and collaborative way to improve your health and wellbeing. They offer guidance, support, and accountability to help you make realistic, sustainable changes - not only in your nutrition but also in other important areas like movement, sleep, stress management, and mindset.

For 1:1 Coaching, do you offer single sessions instead of the package?

I completely understand wanting to start with just one session, but based on my experience, meaningful and lasting change usually takes time and ongoing support. That’s why I offer the four month package as a minimum which includes six sessions. This allows us to work together on various aspects, build momentum, provide consistent accountability, and make sustainable progress together. Everyone’s journey is unique and whilst some people feel ready to move forward on their own at three months, others may benefit from extending their coaching for additional support. There is the option at this stage to purchase an addition three month package.

How is this different to a nutritionist, psychologist, dietician or medical doctor?

A Health and Nutrition Coach differs from other professionals in the following ways. Medical doctors diagnose medical conditions, prescribe medications, provide treatments, and can order medical tests. Nutritionists and dietitians address more complex nutritional needs, offer medical nutrition therapy, and may request tests to assess your specific requirements. Psychologists are mental health professionals who diagnose and treat psychological conditions through therapy and other evidence - based techniques.

Are the sessions online or in person?

1:1 coaching is available face-to-face, online, or as a combination of both. Daytime appointments can be in person or online, while evening and weekend sessions are offered online only. I’m based in Southgate, Enfield, London - full address available upon request. Group coaching is delivered according to the programme, with some online and others face-to-face, held at various venues across North London.

I have extensive experience delivering both online and in-person coaching, so you can be confident that the quality of support, guidance, and accountability is consistent no matter which option you choose.

Who do you work with?

I work with women and children (aged 8+) to support their health and wellbeing goals. Drawing on my experience as a GP and my training in nutrition, lifestyle, and behaviour and mindset coaching, I help address a wide range of concerns - from fatigue, weight, stress, and low mood to digestive and hormonal issues. I take a highly individualised approach, and an initial discovery call allows us to explore your goals and ensure coaching is the right fit before moving forward.

Where can I learn more about you?

You can explore other sections of this website, such as the About Me page, to learn more. You can also email or WhatsApp me directly using the links on this site.

Do you offer weight-loss injections (e.g. Mounjaro)?

No, I do not provide weight-loss injections. For most my clients, meaningful and lasting results can be achieved by focusing on nutrition, movement, sleep, stress management, mindset, and underlying factors such as emotional eating or low self-esteem.

That said, if you choose to use weight-loss injections through another provider, I can still fully support you. I can help you minimise side effects, optimise your overall health, and ensure you get the maximum benefit from the treatment. Importantly, we also work together to build the habits and foundations that allow you to maintain your progress once you come off the medication. Research has shown that the benefits of weight loss injections can diminish after stopping them, and my role is to help ensure that any positive changes become long-lasting and sustainable.

What are group coaching sessions like, and how does participation work?

Group coaching sessions are structured to balance guided learning with supportive, interactive coaching. Sessions typically include a mixture of short lecture style teaching, practical individual and group tasks, and opportunities to ask questions. As the programme progresses, there is dedicated time to check in on how everyone is getting on with implementing their action plans, with challenges coached through by me and supported by learning from others’ experiences within the group. Participation is encouraged but never required. Group sessions are a safe and supportive space where you are free to get involved as much or as little as feels comfortable. You will never be put on the spot or asked to share unless you choose to. At the same time, the group is facilitated in a way that ensures everyone has the opportunity to engage, reflect, and be heard throughout the programme, should they wish to do so.

How can I get started?

Whether it’s 1:1 coaching, joining a group coaching program, or simply wanting to find out more, getting started is easy. You can book a free discovery call, send an enquiry, or even send a WhatsApp message - whichever works best for you. I understand that something like this can be a time and financial commitment towards improving your health. That’s why a free discovery call is required before joining the 1:1 programme and suggested for group programmes. A discovery call ensures that health and nutrition coaching is the right fit for you and gives you the opportunity to ask questions and feel confident before moving forward.

Do you work with young children?

Yes, I work with children aged 8 years and above, and all sessions are child-led, with your child always at the heart of what we do. While your child is the focus, your involvement as a parent or guardian is an important part of the process, especially with younger children.

For children under 16 years old, parents or guardians are asked to be present or nearby for the first two sessions. After that, you can choose to stay for the full session or join us for the last 15 minutes, whatever feels right for you and your child. I have extensive experience working with children and hold an advanced DBS check, which is available on request.

How does health coaching work alongside medical care?

Health coaching does not replace medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Coaching is designed to complement existing medical care, supporting lifestyle, nutrition, and behaviour changes alongside any guidance provided by your GP or hospital specialist. If you or your child has a medical condition or is under medical care, I encourage continued engagement with your healthcare professionals, and I am happy to work alongside this where appropriate.
